Welgegund
Wellington, South Africa

Welgegund Farm, once owned by Cecil John Rhodes Fruit Farms, possesses optimum terroir for noble red wine. Only fifty minutes drive from the Waterfront, Welgegund Farm in Wellington is situated on the road known as ‘the horseshoe’ and nestles in the foothills of the Hawequa Mountains.

Welgegund, which means ‘well-endowed’, was acquired more than two decades ago by the Camerer family. Situated at the foot of the Limietberg the farm offers beautiful mountain views and vineyard walks.

The bush vines on Welgegund are now 27 years old, and are planted at an altitude of 240 metres above sea level.
